Job Title Training Coordinator
Unit Abu Dhabi Lot 1
Role Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering the necessary training and awareness programs for the workforce, ensuring compliance to the client KPIs related to the training and development and ADQCC conformity assessment of the employees and achieve knowledge, skill, and behavior enhancement among the workforce of AD Lot 1.
Accountabilities:
- Identifies and assesses the current and future training needs of the project workforce by understanding the contractual requirements and having consultation with line managers and other sources as necessary.
- Prepares the Annual Training calendar for the project based on the training need analysis, inculcating all training and awareness programs related to various departments.
- Prepares training materials, presentations and various reports required for the training and awareness programs.
- Design and deliver training programs specific to waste management, including safety procedures, waste handling, and equipment operation etc.
- Conduct awareness programs about Safety working conditions, Quality of services, to fulfill Service Contract Requirements. • Design and deliver employee induction programs.
- Conducts and delivers the training programs as per the Training calendar and the unscheduled on-demand training programs based on the client and project requirements.
- Conducts toolbox talks, refresher training, behavior development training and awareness programs as and when necessary.
- Coordinates with concerned departments including operations, HR & HSE and arranges for the required number of participants attendance to the training programs.
- Coordinates with concerned departments including operations, HR & HSE and prepares schedules for the ADQCC assessment.
- Prepares and delivers training programs to the workforce of various categories, on the topics required for ADQCC assessment, to enable the workforce to clear the ADQCC assessment.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and arranges to complete the ADQCC registration of the workforce in various categories, in compliance with the client and contractual requirements.
- Conducts periodical worksite visits to assess the job performance of the employees, including general and safety behaviors, to ensure the effectiveness of the training programs.
- Conducts Training evaluation for the delivered trainings and measures and reports the effectiveness of the training and awareness programs.
- Ensures client KPIs related to trainings are fully met.
- Attends periodical client meetings to share the training achievements of the AD Lot 1 project.
- Provides extended support to HSE & HR departments in some non-training tasks as and when necessary.
- Performs work activities in different shift timings, as per the requirements, including night shifts when required.
- Prepares and submits various periodical reports / presentations related to training programs to the client and management.
- Maintains a keen understanding of the training trends, developments, and best practices in the waste management industry.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and safeguard their own safety and health, as well as that of anyone who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work
- .Refrain from being under the influence of any intoxicating substances to the point where they pose a risk to themselves or others while on the job.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Health & Safety policy & procedures.
- Provide cooperation to the company’s practices regarding safety, health, and welfare at work.
- Not to engage in any improper conduct that could endanger his / her own safety and health or that of anyone else.
- Participate in HSE training offered by the company.
- Make proper use of all machinery, tools, substances, etc. and PPEs provided for use at work.
- Promptly notify the immediate supervisor/manager/HSE representatives of any near-miss incidents, accidents, work-related injuries, or potential safety hazards, such as defects in tools or equipment, that may endanger the safety and health of individuals at the workplace.
- Be familiar with the work site emergency and evacuation procedures and evacuation routes.
Job Requirements Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in any discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering and handling training and development programs for the workforce.
- Train the Trainer Certification required. • Other Trainer certifications and QHSE related certifications will be a plus.
- Waste Management / Facilities Management Industry experience will be an added advantage.
