Role Purpose
The Inventory Specialist will lead and coordinate all aspects of inventory management within a business-driven inventory system. This position focuses on maintaining precise inventory tracking, optimizing stock levels, and supporting business operations to enhance product availability while minimizing costs. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at collaborating with multiple departments to ensure efficient management of warehouse and storage operations.
Accountabilities
- Inventory Oversight:
- Ensure to maintain accurate inventory records using the SAP inventory management systems by the business.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment and avoid overstock or stockouts and inform supply chain and finance team to maintain slow-moving provision.
- Conduct regular physical inventory checks and reconcile variances.
- Share the updated stock list of Bins and Spare parts with the respective business heads for quick turnover the inventory items.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze inventory data and ensure all the Inventory reports are shared timely with the business and share the minutes of meeting with each PM/ CEOs.
- Prepare and present reports on inventory metrics, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Analyse the OPNE PO( Inventory) and flag the anomaly if materials / items are not delivered within the as per the delivery date mentioned in PO.
- Identify slow-moving and obsolete stock and propose strategies for efficient stock clearance.
- Process Optimization:
- Work closely with purchasing, sales, and production teams to align inventory management with business needs.
- Implement and refine inventory management policies and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory handling and management.
- Technology Utilization:
- Use inventory management software and tools effectively to track and monitor stock levels.
- Support the business in leveraging new technologies bare coding / other tracking levels for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Train team members on inventory management systems and best practices as needed.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all inventory practices comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Conduct quality control checks to confirm the condition and accuracy of inventory items.
- Address any non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
