Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving growth and expanding our client base within the facility management sector. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and developing strategies that align with our company’s goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

 

 

Accountabilities

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape within the facility management industry.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies for lead generation, including networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging digital marketing.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients to understand their facility management needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations to potential clients, outlining our services and value propositions.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company objectives and drive revenue growth.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations and close deals, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the company.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment of messaging.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and foster relationships.

 

 

Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years' experience in business development or sales, preferably within the facility management or related industry.

 

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of facility management services and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for sales.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
