Electrician - Automobile

Location - Abu Dhabi

Role Purpose:

The incumbent is responsible for maintain of electronic, electrical and computer system of the 
vehicles, equipment, tools etc. to achieve the objectives of workshop department

Accountabilities:

 Receive the vehicle, equipment, and tool to identify the defects and problems for repair. 
 Respond to the emergency maintenance services and breakdown calls. 
 Inspect the vehicle electronic, electrical and computer system to repair and upgrade. 
 Checking the breakdown by indicating if it will be repairable or replaced by spare parts. 
 Do the preventive maintenance as per the schedule. 
 Ensure the quantity and quality of the spare parts and tools before the maintenance work. 
 Conduct the test drive if necessary. 
 Ensure the vehicle, equipment and tools have no defects before delivery. 
 Maintain the tools and equipment in good condition. 
 Executing safety and hygiene instructions inside the workshop. 

Health & Safety 

 Ensure compliance with relevant laws and safeguard their own safety and health, as well as 
that of anyone who may be affected by their actions or omissions at work. 
 Refrain from being under the influence of any intoxicating substances to the point where they 
pose a risk to themselves or others while on the job. 
 Ensure compliance with the company’s Health & Safety policy & procedures. 
 Provide cooperation to the company’s practices regarding safety, health, and welfare at work. 
 Not to engage in any improper conduct that could endanger his / her own safety and health or 
that of anyone else. 
 Participate in HSE training offered by the company. 
 Make proper use of all machinery, tools, substances, etc. and PPEs provided for use at work. 
 Promptly notify the immediate supervisor/manager/HSE representatives of any near-miss 
incidents, accidents, work-related injuries, or potential safety hazards, such as defects in tools 
or equipment, that may endanger the safety and health of individuals at the workplace. 
 Be familiar with the work site emergency and evacuation procedures and evacuation routes. 

Qualification & Experience 

 3 – 5 Years’ experience as a Auto Electrician / Technician 
 Certificate / Diploma in Automobile Maintenance preferred. 
 Waste Management industry experience in UAE will be an added advantage. 
 Must be physically fit and mentally fit and fulfill the AD health requirements. 
 GCC work experience will be preferred. 
 Candidates with UAE driving license types (such as HD, HB, LV) preferred. 
 
Knowledge & Skills 

 Knowledge about maintenance of Heavy & Light Vehicles and Mechanical equipment 
 Waste Management Vehicle and Equipment maintenance Knowledge 
 Communication skills in English / Hindi / Urdu / Arabic 
 Ability to work in an external environment both in hot and cold weather conditions. 
 Time Management skills
